Intelligence from space

Using satellite data, public records, machine learning and SatRev's own algorithms,SatRev analyses all properties in a given area and delivers reports indicating those showing susceptibility to improper taxation. This allows officials in the tax departments to verify a pre-selected group of properties, which significantly speeds up and simplifies the inspection process, while significantly increasing the revenue of the municipal budget. Statistics from ongoing projects indicate a success rate of around 50-60%, meaning that more than one in two reports indicates tax non-compliance.

Coverage

The project coverage area, stages, and timeframe are approved.

Data

SatRev successively acquires the necessary satellite imagery and information from public registers (e.g. building registry data, address numbering). SatRev does not use the taxpayers' register or any other information containing personal data for analysis.

Building Detection

Machine learning allows to get up-to-date information on the location of buildings, together with their approximate surface area. SatRev’s technology avoids discrepancies by analyzing data from different time periods.

Analysis

SatRev analyses the differences between the detected buildings and the data from public registers.

Reports

SatRev delivers reports showing discrepancies that indicate a high probability of tax non-compliance.
